Let’s CLOTHE AFRICA!

World Clothes Line BraceletA little about one of our partners–World Clothes Line.

World Clothes Line is an apparel company with philanthropic mission – to clothe the world. WCL matches every item purchased with a new item for someone in need. You buy. We give. Together, we clothe the world.

I’m Mallory aka Shoebaru team member aka founder of World Clothes Line. I was honored to be invited to join the Shoebaru team and so excited to merge my company’s philanthropic mission with this incredible adventure!

I launched World Clothes Line in September 2010 at the age of 24 (yes, I’m the baby in the group). The “buy 1, give 1” brand is based in my home state of Michigan but provides clothing for people in need all around the world. Our clothing collections are designed to reflect specific countries and cultures. Purchases from these collections benefit people in the corresponding regions, and all clothes are delivered personally by our traveling WCL team. In 2011, we distributed new clothes to people in need in Detroit, Michigan, as well as clothed a refugee village in the Andes Mountains of Peru. In 2012, the WCL team clothed Gili Meno, a remote island in Indonesia. Now, we are about to embark upon our greatest delivery yet – AFRICA!

The World Clothes Line Africa collection features a T-shirt, zip hoodie, and tank top. Your purchase of any of these items will give an equivalent item to a child in need along our route! The Shoebaru team will be visiting orphanages in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania and distributing new clothes at each!

Additionally, World Clothes Line is selling handmade African bracelets to help provide new school uniforms at Awassa Children’s Program in Ethiopia – one of the Shoebaru charities. Every three bracelets sold will give a new uniform to a child in need.
